Founders and Directors – Clive & Kerry Betty

Clive and Kerry are still very much involved in the operations and management of WCS Concrete, but both have taken a step back in recent years. Clive keeps himself busy on the ground doing earthworks and driving trucks. When Kerry isn’t in the office managing the administrative affairs of the company, you’ll often find her in an agitator truck delivering concrete.

Managing Director – Brendan Betty

With 15 years’ experience in the concrete supply industry and a passion to deliver a quality-assured product and service, Brendan is held in high regard by his colleagues, peers and others in the industry.

Brendan takes great pride in providing a product and service that is efficient, of outstanding quality and which exceeds clients’ expectations. Brendan’s knowledge and the ability to maintain good working relationship is one reason WCS Concrete has so many loyal clients.

Brendan holds particular interest in increasing his working relationship with those in the mining and civil works industries.

In addition, Brendan is a passionate manager to his staff – providing them with a quality, safe environment in which they can work and grow.

Operations Manager – Jevon Davies

Boasting 12 years’ experience in batching and agitator truck driving, Jevon is well equipped with the knowledge and experience to lead the team to success as General Manager.

In addition, his background in mining and manual farm work positions him well to understand the requirements of mine site procedures and serve the needs across multiple market sectors.

Jevon has a high focus on safety procedures and efficiency.

Operational and Project Support – Peter Nicholls

Peter joined WCS Concrete in March 2015 after having worked on the family-owned and operated grain and sheep farm for 30 years.

Initially a Batch Plant Manager for WCS Concrete, Peter’s passion and pride in his role with WCS led him into the General Managers position. Peter has done an excellent job helping to build and support the business over many years. He is now working towards his retirement as the WCS Operational and Project Support.

Mobile Operations Manager – Gavin Main

With more than 30 years experience in the manufacture & supply of premixed concrete, Gavin has worked his way up from a concrete tester, to specialized Project Manager, in various locations across WA from the Pilbara, the Goldfields and the Southwest.

Gavin’s extensive knowledge and passion for the construction industry and the manufacture of quality premixed concrete, positions him well to be the Mobile Operations Manager for all our mining and civil concrete production.

A real asset to our company, Gavin is a firm believer in, “If you are going to do something, it should be done right the first time”.

Technical Manager – Leah Halbwirth

With more than 10 years experience in the manufacture & supply of premixed concrete, Leah worked her way up in the industry from a concrete tester to taking on various roles in Technical Management. Leah has worked on major projects across Western Australia where her main focus has been on quality control, mix design and compliance.

Leah takes pride in supporting our internal and external stakeholders by sharing the concrete and raw materials knowledge that she’s gained throughout her career and working together with the team to supply and deliver quality products to our customers.

Staff

WCS Concrete prides itself in being a family-owned and operated business whose aim is not only to employ local where possible, but to operate in a professional manner with a personable ‘family’ feel.

With a minimum of two trained Concrete Batchers at each plant and a team of experienced truck drivers, we are well equipped in the successful delivery and discharge of concrete.

Our laying sub-contractors also have numerous years of demonstrated experience in all aspects of laying of concrete, including earthworks and formwork.

Behind the scenes, we have our administration staff ensuring the business is running smoothly – from implementing quality management systems, to maintaining the competence and training of all staff, to providing customer service to our clients.
